The humble and modest Anne Hathaway has revealed that she thought she would probably never make it in Hollywood as a professional actress and expected to be working as a waitress for the rest of her life.

The Alice In Wonderland star told Look magazine; “I thought I was going to be waitressing and have tons of student loans. I’m thrilled. Right now, I just feel like I’m in a glorified acting programme. I get to learn drama from Meryl Streep, then I get to run around and learn comedy from Steve Carell. It’s kind of insane.”

27-year-old Anne added, “Acting really, really is the only thing I’m interested in doing. Even if I was acting in a church basement theatre for the rest of my life, I would still enjoy it.”

It’s nice when people appreciate their amazing lives, isn’t it *cough, cough*?
