Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway and Susan Sarandon are fronting a new line of audio books, reading classics like The Wizard Of Oz and Emile Zola’s Therese Raquin.
The trio have signed up to give voice to Audible.com’s A-List Collection – a selection of literary classics narrated by Hollywood stars.
The first four books, which will be available online from Thursday (08Mar12), will be A Rage in Harlem (read by Samuel L. Jackson), The Wizard of Oz (Hathaway), Therese Raquin (Winslet) and The Member of the Wedding (Sarandon).
The celebrities reportedly chose their own projects.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Annette Bening, Colin Firth, Hilary Swank and Jennifer Connelly will read the next batch of audio books.

Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has revealed how she can empathize with her fellow actress Lindsay Lohan, since she too has made a number of mistakes in her past. Anne claims that she and Lindsay have a lot in common, as she too had a wild past but the difference was that she was not such a big star name as Lindsay Lohan is.

Hathaway explained, “Lindsay Lohan and I have more in common than people think. We’ve all done things we shouldn’t. It is just that I did stuff at college when nobody knew about it, so I’m not a saint. I wasted time doing self-destructive things. I found you can only dance on so many table tops. I got all that out of my system and I am healthy and grounded.”

Lindsay Lohan, who has been at the centre of a lot of legal troubles in the past few years, recently confirmed that she is set to host Saturday Night Live on March 4. Anne Hathaway will be seen later this year, starring as the character Catwoman, in the third and final Christopher Nolan Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, which is set to be released on July 20 in both the US and the UK.

IT’S already proved a bolthole for celebrities Sarah Jessica Parker and Daniel Day Lewis but now Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has revealed she would like to move to Ireland.

Hathaway (29) revealed that her Irish ancestry has always been important to her and she has been tracing her heritage to Cork and Donegal.

The newly-engaged star added that she still harbours hopes of living in Ireland when her career is fully established in the States.

“On my father’s side, we have relatives all over Cork and Donegal. Ireland is such an amazing country, and I have this little dream in the back of my head that someday I’ll end up living there,” she revealed.

Hathaway, who shot Becoming Jane on location in Ireland in 2007, added that she would enjoy taking a step back from Hollywood and letting the roles come to her for a change.

The actress became betrothed to Adam Shulman last November and they celebrated their engagement with an intimate bash in New York last Saturday.

Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman packed up their gear and caught a flight out of LAX yesterday afternoon. The couple had been on the West Coast for a few weeks while Anne took care of some movie business and caught up with friends. Anne presented Rachel Zoe with an award on Monday at the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center benefit.

The socializing came during a busy period for Anne. In addition to planning her wedding with Adam, she’s also prepping for a new role. Anne will star in Les Miserables as Fantine alongside Hugh Jackman and Amanda Seyfried. The movie is to be directed by Academy Award-winning director Tom Hooper, who was the man behind The King’s Speech. Tom’s in the news today due to the end of his relationship with Tara Subkoff, a NYC-based fashion designer.
