Director Christopher Nolan is pushing actress Anne Hathaway to the limits when it comes to her Catwoman fight scenes for The Dark Knight Rises. In trying to capture a series of realistic brawls, the actress has already given one stuntman a serious black eye after pummeling the butt of her gun into his eye socket.

Now, the girl can’t seem to stay in her latex outfit. The IMAX cameras utilized in shooting The Dark Knight Rises don’t allow for much cheating when it comes to throwing a stage punch, which is demanding that the actors get incredibly physical. Anne Hathaway has taken the challenge to heart, throwing herself into these intense action scenes with all of her might. This aggressive behavoir has now seen her tearing out the ass of her Catwoman costume more than once.

It might be easy to make jokes about her weight when first hearing how the new Selina Kyle is tearing through her sexy wardrobe, but the svelte actress has never been in better shape. It is a combination of the materials being used to bring this version of Catwoman to life, mixed with her hyper-physicality, that is actually causing the problem.

An insider who was on set had this to say.

Anne was filming a very similar fight scene when her costume split right open right on her bottom. She’s putting everything into this role both physically and emotionally and the wardrobe department is paying the price. She must have gone through a dozen costume changes due to throwing herself around.”

Christian Bale and Tom Hardy will be pushed to similar limits when their climactic fight scenes are filmed. Rumor has it that the character Bane will actually break Batman’s spine. If the two actors go at it at the same speed Anne Hathaway has, they better be careful, or someone could get seriously injured.

The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

Oscar beauty Anne Hathaway has been reported to appear on Glee since December, and her cameo may now be further postponed until the third season.

E! Online’s Brad Falchuk says the Glee team is “trying to make it happen”.

“She’s got a pretty tight schedule,” Falchuk explained. “So we don’t know if it’s going to happen this season.”

In a character created by Hathaway herself, she will play Chris Colfer’s aunt, and will be a lesbian in the role. So for at least one episode, the show will actually have some straight men tuning in.

Ryan Murphy previously said of Hathaway’s cameo: “We love her.”

Who doesn’t? We can’t wait to see Hathaway Gleek out!

Although we’ve known since mid-January that Anne Hathaway will play Selina Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises, there remained some question as to whether we’ll see the character’s alter ego in director Christopher Nolan’s film. After all, the Warner Bros. press release didn’t mention the word “Catwoman.”

But in an appearance on Oprah Winfrey’s post-Oscar special , the actress seemed to confirm she’ll don the catsuit in the Warner Bros. movie. She said “Catwoman,” in any case — twice.

Giving Winfrey “the real story” about being asked to co-host this year’s Academy Awards ceremony, Hathaway said, “So the real story is, I was waiting to hear if I’d been cast as Catwoman. And my manager called me, and said ‘Are you sitting down?’ And I just go, ‘Oh, my God, here it comes.’ And she says ‘You’re about to hear something you will never hear again in your whole life.’ I’m like, ‘Okay.’ And she goes, ‘You’ve been asked to host the Oscars.’ And I’m like, ‘I’m Catwoman! … What? … Oh. Oh. Okay. What?’”

Hathaway will star opposite Academy Award winner Christian Bale and Tom Hardy in The Dark Knight Rises, which begins filming in April. We’re still awaiting confirmation on Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. The film opens on July 20, 2012.

NEW YORK – ‘Quantum of Solace’ star Daniel Craig has reportedly been tipped for the lead role in the Hollywood adaptation of ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’.

According to TheWrap.com, the film is based on the first novel in the Millennium trilogy by the late Swedish author Stieg Larsson, reports the New York Daily News.

It is a crime thriller about a journalist, Mikael Blomkvist, searching for a missing girl with the aid of dragon-tattooed hacker Lisbeth Salander.

Adaptations of the three novels, ‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’, ‘The Girl Who Played With Fire’, and ‘The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest’, have already been made in Larsson’s native Sweden, starring Michael Nyqvist as Blomkvist.

‘The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo’ has circulated around the indie circuit for some time in the States.

Brad Pitt was initially reported by various sources to be the top candidate for the Blomkvist role in the English adaptation, which IMDB reports is slated for release in 2012.

But TheWrap.com revealed ‘Dragon’ director David Fincher is more partial to casting the erstwhile 007 as his lead.

Fincher is slated to direct all three adaptations of the trilogy, and he and Craig, 42, are reportedly taking a meeting in Los Angeles within the next few days.
